Free Open Graph Preview — See How Your Links Appear on Social Media

Preview how your links appear on social media with the UtilixVerseOpen Graph preview. Why preview before you publish?

A link is often the first impression your content makes. A well-crafted card — a clear title under 60 characters, a compelling 155-character description, and a crisp 1200×630px image — dramatically improves click-through rates on social media, in messaging apps, and in email. This tool lets you iterate on that card before your audience ever sees it.

  • • See how the same link renders across Facebook, LinkedIn, and X in one place.
  • • Use the Social Media Preview for WhatsApp, Telegram, and Slack cards too.
  • • Preview your shared page on different devices with the Responsive Layout Preview.

Open Graph Preview FAQ

Common questions about previewing Open Graph link cards.

What is an Open Graph preview?

When you share a link on Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or similar platforms, they read the page's Open Graph meta tags (og:title, og:description, og:image) and render a link card. The Open Graph Preview simulates exactly what that card will look like, so you can polish your title, description, and image before publishing.

Why is my preview image not loading?

The image may be hotlink-protected, too small (under 200×200 px), or on a site that blocks cross-origin loading. Use an absolute URL to an image at least 1200×630px. If the placeholder still appears, the image is likely blocked — host it on a public CDN and retry.

Why does the "Fetch Metadata" button fail for some URLs?

Browsers block cross-origin requests (CORS) for most websites, so the page cannot read their meta tags directly from your browser. When fetching fails, fill in the title, description, image, and URL manually — the preview and generated meta tags work exactly the same way.

How do I use the generated Open Graph tags?

Copy the tags and paste them into the <head> of your page, then validate with the Facebook Sharing Debugger and the X Card Validator. After changing tags, always re-submit the URL in the debugger — platforms cache cards aggressively and will otherwise show stale previews.
