Free SVG Optimizer — Minify & Clean SVG Files

Optimize SVG files by removing unnecessary code with the UtilixVerse SVG minifier. Paste or upload any SVG, choose your optimization level, and instantly see the file size comparison and percentage saved. The tool strips comments, metadata, redundant attributes, and excessive number precision — all locally in your browser with no uploads.

Smaller SVGs, faster pages

SVGs exported from design tools are full of cruft: stroke="none",opacity="1.000000", embedded metadata, and comments. Each byte removed from an inline SVG is a byte saved on every page load. Minified output is also ideal forCSS data URIs, icon font pipelines, and React/component libraries.

SVG Optimizer FAQ

Common questions about minifying and optimizing SVG files.

How does the SVG optimizer work?

It parses your SVG with the browser XML parser, then applies the options you choose: removing comments and <metadata>, deleting redundant attributes (like stroke="none" or stroke-width="0"), trimming float precision to 2 decimals, and collapsing whitespace. You can also drop width/height when a viewBox exists and pretty-print the output.

Is it safe to optimize my SVG files?

Yes — everything runs locally in your browser. Your SVG markup never leaves your device, so you can safely process icons, illustrations, and brand assets. The tool only removes clearly redundant data; structural elements, gradients, and paths are preserved.

How much can I expect to save?

Typical savings range from 10% to 60% depending on the source. Files generated by design tools (Figma, Illustrator, Sketch) usually contain many redundant attributes and verbose numbers, which trim very well. The tool shows the original size, optimized size, and exact percentage saved.

What is the difference between minified and pretty-printed SVG?

Minified output removes all optional whitespace for the smallest file size — ideal for inline use, data URIs, and icon libraries. Pretty-printed output keeps indentation so humans can read the markup. Both are valid SVG; the optimizer generates either from the same input.
