Free Dice Roller — Roll d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 & d20 Online

Welcome to the UtilixVerse Dice Roller — a free, offlinevirtual dice tool for tabletop RPGs, board games, and anything else that needs a little randomness. Roll the full polyhedral set — d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20 — up to ten dice at once, complete with classicdice notation like 2d6+3 or1d20.

Dice That Look Like Dice

Every die is drawn as its real face shape: a triangle for the d4 and d20, asquare with classic pips for the d6, an octagon for the d8, apentagon for the d10, and a dodecagon for the d12 — each in its own color so you always know what you are rolling. During a roll the dice shake and cycle through values before settling one-by-one into place.

Tabletop-Ready Features

Roll 1–10 dice with a modifier from −10 to +10 (perfect for D&D and Pathfinder attack rolls), get an automatic total, and celebrate the extremes —natural 20s are flagged as Critical! and natural 1s as Fumbles. SynthesizedWeb Audio rattle and clatter effects add atmosphere, and theSpace bar re-rolls instantly.

Roll History & Notation

Every roll is recorded with its notation, individual die values, and total — so you can look back at the whole session. Your setup and history are saved privately in your browser and come right back next visit; clear the log any time with one click.

Private, Offline, and Free

The rolls, the dice rendering, the sounds, and the history all run locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is tracked — a genuinely private, 100% free dice roller that works even without an internet connection.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Dice Roller

Which dice can I roll?

All six dice from the standard polyhedral set: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20. Each die is drawn as its real face shape — a triangle for the d4 and d20, a square with pips for the d6, an octagon for the d8, a pentagon for the d10, and a dodecagon for the d12 — so it is always obvious which die you rolled.

Can I roll multiple dice at once?

Yes. Use the Number of Dice stepper to roll anywhere from 1 to 10 dice at the same time, and the tool shows classic notation like 2d6 or 3d20. Each die is rolled independently, and the total is added up automatically with your modifier applied.

How do modifiers work?

The Modifier stepper lets you add a flat bonus or penalty (from −10 to +10) to every roll, exactly like the +3 on a D&D attack roll. A roll of 2d6+3 means two six-sided dice plus a bonus of 3 — the notation, dice values, and final total all update to reflect it.

Does it highlight critical hits and fumbles?

Yes. If any die rolls its natural maximum — like a 20 on a d20 — you get a Critical! badge, and a natural 1 earns a Fumble badge. History entries also carry a ⭐ or 💀 marker so you can spot the dramatic rolls at a glance.

Where does the sound come from? Does it need internet?

The sounds are synthesized live with the Web Audio API — a plastic rattle while the dice tumble and a final clatter when they land. Nothing is downloaded and nothing leaves your device, so the entire tool works fully offline. You can mute it anytime with the Sound button.

Can I roll with the keyboard?

Yes. Press the Space bar anywhere on the page (when you are not typing in a field) to re-roll the current setup instantly — no need to reach for the button between throws.

Is this Dice Roller free and private?

It is 100% free with no registration, and every roll happens entirely in your browser — no data is ever sent to a server. Your setup (die type, count, modifier) and roll history are stored only in your browser’s localStorage, and you can clear the history at any time.
