Free Flashcard Creator — Make and Study Digital Flashcards

The UtilixVerse Flashcard Creator lets you build digital flashcards in seconds and review them with a tap-to-flip study mode. Create multiple decks by topic, add cards individually or paste a whole list, shuffle the order, and grade yourself as you go — all stored privately in your browser, fully offline.

How to Study Effectively With Flashcards

  • • Test yourself actively — say the answer out loud before flipping the card.
  • • Keep decks topic-sized (10–30 cards) for manageable study rounds.
  • • Use shuffle mode so you don't memorize the order instead of the content.
  • • Revisit decks in multiple sessions — spaced repetition beats cramming.

Back Up and Move Your Decks

Each deck can be exported as a JSON file and imported on any device, so your study set travels with you. Combined with the Random Quiz Picker for practice rounds and theStudy Timer for focused sessions, flashcards become one part of a complete revision system.

Private, Offline, and Free

Decks and progress live only in your browser's localStorage — no uploads, no accounts, no tracking. A genuinely free and private flashcard maker for students.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Flashcard Creator

How do I create flashcards?

Go to the Create tab, name a deck, then add cards one at a time (front = question/term, back = answer/definition) or paste many at once — one per line, with the front and back separated by a tab, " | ", or " - ". Then hit Study on your deck to start reviewing.

How does study mode work?

Study mode shows one card at a time. Tap the card to flip it and reveal the answer, then grade yourself with "I Knew It" or "Still Learning". Cards you knew are tracked, and you can enable Shuffle to vary the order. When you reach the end, the round summary shows how many you knew.

Where are my decks saved?

Decks are stored in your browser’s localStorage — they stay on your own device and are never uploaded anywhere. Each deck also has Export (downloads a JSON file) and Import, so you can back them up or move them between devices.

Can I bulk import a question list?

Yes. In the Create tab, paste lines in the format "front back" (a tab between question and answer). The tool also accepts " | " or " - " as separators. Lines without a separator are added as front-only cards.

Is this flashcard tool free and private?

Yes. It is 100% free with no registration and works fully offline. Your decks and study progress live only in your browser’s localStorage — nothing is ever sent to a server.

Can I use it for subjects like vocabulary or definitions?

Absolutely — flashcards are ideal for vocabulary (word → meaning), definitions (term → explanation), formulas, historical dates, anatomy, and any memorization-heavy subject. Create one deck per topic to keep studying organized.

How is this different from the Random Quiz Picker?

Flashcards are for memorization — you see the question, recall the answer, and flip to check. The Random Quiz Picker draws questions one at a time without repeats so you can practice a question bank without re-seeing the same one. Many students use both in different phases of revision.
