Free Grade Calculator — Find the Score You Need for Your Target Grade

The UtilixVerse Grade Calculator answers the question every student asks before finals:"What do I need on the remaining work to hit my target grade?" Enter yourcurrent grade, how much of the course is already graded, yourtarget grade, and the weight of the remaining work — the calculator instantly returns the exact percentage you need, whether the target is still reachable, and a predictedfinal grade for any score you expect to get.

The Weighted-Grade Formula

Formula
Required = (Target% × 100 − Current% × Weightdone) ÷ Weightremaining

Why Weights Matter

Most courses are weighted: homework is worth 20%, quizzes 25%, and the final 30%, for example. A 95% on a 10%-weight assignment moves your grade far less than a 95% on a 30%-weight final. This calculator handles the arithmetic so you can focus on strategy — like deciding where the extra study hour actually moves your grade.

Plan Ahead, Not in Panic

  • • Check whether your target is still reachable before the exam.
  • • See how low a score you can get and still keep your grade — no more all-night cramming.
  • • Combine with the GPA and CGPA calculators to plan your whole semester.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Grade Calculator

How do I calculate what I need on my final exam?

Use the formula: required = (target% × 100 − current% × completed weight) ÷ remaining weight. Our calculator does this for you: enter your current grade, the weight of the work completed so far, your target grade, and the weight of the remaining work. If the answer is over 100%, the target is unreachable; if negative or zero, you have already secured it.

How much does my final exam actually count?

That is your "remaining weight". Check your syllabus — finals commonly weigh 15–30% of the total grade. Enter it alongside the weight of everything already completed so the two add up to 100%, and the calculator will tell you exactly what score you need on that remaining portion.

What if the required score is more than 100%?

The calculator flags it as unreachable — even a perfect score would leave you short of the target. This usually means your current grade is low relative to the remaining weight. You can either accept a lower target or see how close you can get with 100% on everything left.

Can I predict my final grade?

Yes. Use the "Predicted Final Grade" section: type the score you expect on the remaining work and the calculator computes your final percentage and letter grade, combining your current grade with the projected score by weight.

Is this grade calculator free and private?

Yes. It is 100% free with no registration, and every calculation runs entirely in your browser. No grade data is ever sent anywhere — your numbers stay on your own device.

How is this different from the GPA and CGPA calculators?

The Grade Calculator works with percentages and weights to answer "what score do I need next". The GPA Calculator converts letter grades and credit hours into a semester GPA, and the CGPA Calculator rolls many semesters into one cumulative score. Use all three together to plan your semester end to end.
