Free Pomodoro Timer — Focus in 25-Minute Sprints

The UtilixVerse Pomodoro Timer applies the classic Pomodoro Technique to your study day: 25 minutes of deep focus, a 5-minute break, and alonger break after every four sprints. A clean circular progress ring, a synthesized completion chime, and daily pomodoro counts keep you in the zone — all fully offline and private.

The Classic Cycle

Focus 25m → Short break 5m → … ×4 → Long break 15m

Why It Works

Short, bounded work intervals reduce procrastination (starting is easier when you only commit to 25 minutes), protect against mental fatigue, and give you a natural rhythm ofdeep work and recovery. The built-in break tracking makes you take the rest your brain needs.

Make It Yours

Prefer 50-minute sprints or 10-minute breaks? Open Settings and tune the focus, short break, long break, and long-break frequency to your rhythm. Enable auto-start to flow through the cycle hands-free, and check your pomodoro count and focus minutes for the day anytime.

Private, Offline, and Free

The timer, chime, and stats all run locally in your browser. No uploads, no accounts, no tracking — a genuinely free and private Pomodoro timer for students.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Pomodoro Timer

What is the Pomodoro technique?

The Pomodoro Technique splits work into focused sprints — traditionally 25 minutes of deep focus followed by a 5-minute break. After every 4 focus sessions you take a longer break (usually 15–30 minutes). The cycle keeps your brain fresh and makes big tasks feel manageable.

How do I use this Pomodoro timer?

Press Start during a Focus phase and work until the ring completes. The timer automatically suggests a short break (or a long break after every 4 focus sessions), plays a chime, and — if you enable "Auto-start" — moves straight into the next phase. You can also skip or reset any phase manually.

Can I change the focus and break lengths?

Yes. Open Settings and adjust focus minutes, short break minutes, long break minutes, and how many focus sessions happen before a long break. Everything is saved locally so your preferred rhythm persists between visits.

Where does the chime sound come from? Does it need internet?

The chime is synthesized live with the Web Audio API — nothing is downloaded and nothing leaves your device. The entire timer works fully offline with no audio files to load.

Are my completed pomodoros tracked?

Yes. The timer counts completed focus sessions and total focus minutes for the current day, and resets the daily counter automatically when a new day starts. All stats are stored privately in your browser’s localStorage.

What is the difference between short and long breaks?

A short break (5 minutes by default) comes after each focus session and is meant for stretching, water, or a quick screen break. A long break (15 minutes by default) comes after every 4th focus session and gives your brain a deeper rest before the next cycle.

Is this Pomodoro timer free and private?

Yes. It is 100% free with no registration, works fully offline, and keeps your settings and stats only on your own device. Nothing is ever sent to a server.
