Frequently Asked Questions About Scanning Documents to PDF

How does Scan to PDF work?

Your device camera shows a live preview. Each time you press "Capture Page", the current frame is drawn to an off-screen canvas and converted into a page of a PDF. Switch between front and rear cameras, then arrange and download the finished multi-page document.

Do I need a scanner or special software?

No. Any phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera can scan documents — receipts, forms, notes, or whiteboards. For the sharpest text, keep the document well-lit and hold the camera straight above it.

What output options are available?

Choose A4, US Letter, or "fit page" sizing, portrait or landscape orientation (or let it auto-detect), the page margin, and JPEG quality for the pages. The settings are remembered between visits.

Is my scan private?

Completely. The camera feed and every captured frame stay on your device. Pages are turned into a PDF locally and only saved when you click "Download PDF".
