Free EXIF & Metadata Viewer — Inspect Files Privately in Your Browser
Welcome to the UtilixVerse Metadata Viewer — a free, private way to inspect the hidden data inside your images. Drop a JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, or TIFF and instantly see the EXIF tags, camera settings, timestamps, dimensions, and text comments embedded in the file. Everything is parsed 100% locally in your browser — the file never leaves your device.
What You Will Find Inside Your Photos
Modern cameras and phones silently write a surprising amount of information into every shot: the make and model of the device, the lens and focal length, exposure time, aperture, ISO, the software used, an exact date and time of capture, and often the GPS coordinates of where the photo was taken. Screenshots carry their own footprint, and PNG files can hold arbitrary text comments added by editors.
Why Metadata Matters for Privacy
Sharing the original file — in an email attachment, a forum post, or an unlisted backup — can expose your home address (via GPS), your camera's serial number, and your daily routines (via timestamps). Because the data is invisible, most people never notice. This viewer makes it visible so you can make an informed choice: after inspecting a file, open it in the Metadata Remover tool to strip all traces before sharing.
Private by Design
The entire EXIF and chunk parser is hand-rolled JavaScript that runs on your machine. There is no upload, no server, and no tracking — the tool even works offline once the page is loaded. What you inspect stays with you.
